Tom Thomson Art Gallery’s 50th Anniversary will be celebrated during Doors Open Owen Sound, June 3 (10am-4pm) and June 4 (noon-4pm). The weekend will feature several exhibitions including the 50th Anniversary Exhibition, focusing on artworks either collected by the gallery or created in 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007, along with newly acquired works in 2017. September 24th, 2017 to January 7th, 2018 “East Wind” is a mural by Maria Hupfield that depicts Tom Thomson’s “West Wind” in reverse and in which, a silhouette of Hupfield has been inserted into the composition.
