We focus on providing a genuine art experience in all our studio art classes.  We offer specialized programs taught by professional instructors in small groups in our Gallery Studio, using quality materials and supplies - ensuring an enriched learning enviornment.

Join us at the Gallery this fall for a new studio program for kids. Instructor Elly MacKay takes students on a fun-filled art adventure with different projects and various media. Ask about our Winter/Spring class.

Gallery Members receive a $5 discount off regular class registration fee (but not joint programs fees).

Want to create a PUBLIC ART PIECE and leave your mark on Owen Sound? Are you in high school? Come out Sunday, October 24 and November 28 at 2 pm to get in on a self-directed art project that will be designed and created by you. This group will meet every 4th Sunday.

PMC Workshop - presented by the Ontario Craft Council at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen Sound

Join Shannon Kennedy and Juan Bohorquez of Cynosure Jewelry and discover PMC (Precious Metal Clay), a revolutionary clay-like medium that allows you to mould or sculpt pieces as you would soft clay and then fire them into a finished silver piece.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of construction techniques using wet PMC, rehydrating PMC, textures on wet PMC, hollow forms, carving dry PMC, firing temperatures and methods, metal finishing techniques and Liver of Sulfur patina. Participants will create their own hollow bead and pendant to take home with them at the end of class.
