We offer specialized programs taught by professional instructors in small groups in our Gallery Studio, using quality materials and supplies - ensuring an enriched learning enviornment. AdultsPMC Workshop - presented by the Ontario Craft Council at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen SoundDate: Saturday, September 25, 2010 Join Shannon Kennedy and Juan Bohorquez of Cynosure Jewelry and discover PMC (Precious Metal Clay), a revolutionary clay-like medium that allows you to mould or sculpt pieces as you would soft clay and then fire them into a finished silver piece. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of construction techniques using wet PMC, rehydrating PMC, textures on wet PMC, hollow forms, carving dry PMC, firing temperatures and methods, metal finishing techniques and Liver of Sulfur patina. Participants will create their own hollow bead and pendant to take home with them at the end of class. Registration for this workshop is done on-line with the Ontario Craft Council |
