Gallery Night at the Movies, as part of The Film Circuit and under the banner of the Toronto International Film Festival Group, provides filmgoers with transformative experiences through Canadian and international independent films they would otherwise not have the opportunity to see in our area. Introduced to Owen Sound by the Gallery in 1996 as a fundraising project, Gallery Night at the Movies has expanded to three different screening times. The success of Gallery Night at the Movies has launched companion programs such as Owen Sound’s Reel Festival (2003), held every year on the first weekend in February, and Gallery Night at the Movies in Port Elgin (2005). The Gallery presents at least fourteen of the best in Canadian, foreign & alternative films which are currently available through The Film Circuit and are screened at Galaxy Cinemas in Owen Sound and Port Elgin Cinemas in Port Elgin. The proceeds from this endeavor go back to the Gallery to enhance our arts programming in the region.
Individual tickets are $12. Call the Gallery for availability (519) 376-1932. Sponsored by
